General Guidelines:
-
We do not accept any work that has been created using generative AI in any form. This includes using it to come up with ideas or to brainstorm.
-
All submissions must be in English. As much as we would love to publish in other languages, we don't have anyone fluent in other languages in our team.
-
We accept and encourage simultaneous submissions, but please email us if it is accepted elsewhere.
-
Reprints are permitted, but we request that you inform us where a piece has been published previously.
-
Submissions that promote, glorify, or romanticize hate speech will not be accepted.
-
We accept documents and PDFs for text submissions, and PNGs for art and photography submissions. Do not submit hybrid pieces (eg. text and images combined) unless a call is explicitly stated to be accepting them.
-
If submitting multiple pieces at a time, provide clear distinctions between each piece. Preferably, provide each one on a new page.
-
Not complying with the guidelines means an automatic rejection and your submission will not be read.
-
We publish poetry, prose, and creative nonfiction.
For a more detailed understanding of our guidelines, check out our Chillsubs page here.
Open Submission Calls
Issue 1: Eternal
Our first theme is 'Eternal': without beginning or end; lasting forever; always existing.
Your work must have some connection to the theme, but it doesn't have to be extreme. 'Eternal' can be incorporated in any way that you see fit — it may be literally, metaphorically, or just the vibes. However, we do require you to state how it fits; otherwise, your submission will not be considered.
You are able to submit to all categories (ie. you could submit 5 pieces of poetry, 2 pieces of prose, and 1 creative nonfiction piece). If you submit more pieces than permitted in a certain form, we will only consider the submissions that appear first in your document. All submissions must be done at the same.

We accept any form of poetry.
Maximum 1,000 words OR 100 lines for each piece.

Cover Image Contest
The theme for our first issue is 'Eternal': without beginning or end; lasting forever; always existing.
We are looking for art, digital art, or photographs that capture this idea to be used for the cover image of our magazine. Particularly, we would love something surreal or dreamy that encompasses the idea of immortality, agelessness, and the natural world.

Our Blog
Unlike our issues, our blog has no theme and is open all year round. If you have a piece that you want to get published but don't know where, our blog is the perfect spot!
Our blog publishes 1-5 pieces once a fortnight (or roughly twice a month) every Sunday, and has a faster response time to our issue submissions as we are not as limited to the volume of submissions that we can publish. There is no cap on how many submissions we can accept from one person, and we are able to publish pieces up to 5,000 words!
Sound like a great find? Read the guidelines below and feel free to submit!
